CHICAGO – 18th Legislative District residents will have the opportunity to help local food pantries this November thanks to two area legislators.

State Senator Bill Cunningham and State Representative Fran Hurley will be collecting non-perishable goods at three locations from November 1 through November 20.

All proceeds and goods collected will be given to local food pantries in Oak Lawn, Orland Park and Morgan Park, which are preparing for the Thanksgiving season. Those goods can be dropped off at the following locations:

10400 S. Western Ave, Chicago
3207 W 111th St, Chicago
16033 S 94th Ave, Orland Park

Senator Cunningham encourages everyone to donate what they can to help those in need this holiday season.

“I think it is important that we do what we can to help people in need,” Cunningham said. “This food drive is just one of the many things you can do to help out your neighbors this Thanksgiving.”
